As with all cultured victorians, the good Doctor realised that fairies exist, in
fact they are actually Scottish & very, very naughty!
The wee flittery feather winged creatures are forever stealing his prime
Edinburgh rhubarb; as such he has enlisted a small army of highland bees to
protect his prize crop.
The tartan coloured Bee’s sting, while not fatal to the mischievous imps, does
however cause them to cry. One of the unusual side effects is releasing the most
intense flavoured pink fairy tears rumoured to have magical properties of making
you dream of flying amongst the clouds.
In an attempt to rid himself once and for all of the flying pests the Doctor
caught some of them & relocated them to a small town near Bradford called
Cottingly. It was here they were found by 2 young girls
