When the establishment learnt of the young Daedalus’s predaliction for playing
down at the London docks he was promptly shipped off to a country estate in
the West Country. It was while wandering the gardens at Luscombe house that
the young lad met his first love…
No not a Girl… Gin!
In a bid to get the ever talking Daedalus to shut up, the lord of the Manor would
dose the boy with an herbal draught of wild rose & Chamomile (known for its
calming qualities), sweetened with vanilla sugar and a glug of mother’s ruin…. This
delightful concoction would have the Doctor skipping around the estate gaily
singing songs.
The young daughter & Lady of Luscombe was enamoured of the young carefree
boy & Daedalus soon discovered pleasures of a different kind….
The Young Lady’s father was otherwise very unimpressed and promptly petitioned
his mother to take him back to London.
