On a Train ride across the former colony now known as the United States of
America, the Doctor first met Professor Jerry Thomas and was introduced to
the sherry cobbler (the most popular drink of its day). The Professor proved that
a love of mixed fancy drinks could be turned in to a career and thus the germ of
an idea started in the good Doctors mind.
