Public Service Recognition Week (PSRW), a national annual event held in May, is an opportunity to thank and
acknowledge dedicated public servants from federal, state, local and tribal governments across the country.
2023 marks the County’s third PSRW, which will be celebrated with various Countywide and department specific events
throughout the week of May 7-13.
On May 9, 2023, at the Board of Supervisors’ meeting, Chair Alejo will present a Public Service Recognition Week
Resolution to our CAO and Director of Human Resources to honor all County employees.
Over 140 certificates of acknowledgement, created by Human Resources team members, will be presented by
Department Heads to their employees with 30 or more years of County service. Our CAO, Sonia De La Rosa, requested to
be invited when employees receive their certificates and will attend, as her schedule permits.
Employees with 30 or more years of County service were invited to submit a testimonial, sharing words of wisdom and
highlights from their career. Be on the lookout for testimonials and photos that will be posted on the Human Resources
Department social media sites and shared in internal communications.
PSRW is a reminder to take pride in your public service and to recognize your fellow employees for their years of service.
