But the Bible says …. Matt 25:13 (NIV) Therefore, keep watch, because you do not know the day
or the hour. Matt 24:36 (NIV) "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angles in
heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

These are just a FEW of her writings that directly contradict God’s Word, yet she claims that her
revelations came from God. Why would God contradict HIMSELF?

                   4. She copied extensively from others while denying she did so. It would appear that all the major
thoughts and ideas in her writings were derived from others. She copied both truths and
                       falsehoods into her writings.
For example, in 1898 Ellen “wrote” Desire of Ages (she was in her seventies and had been
writing for 50 years). In this book she plagiarized over 23 different authors. Investigation into
this allegation was conducted by Fred Veltman (an Adventist) and he said publicly, “Ellen White
used the writings of others consciously and intentionally. The literary parallels are not the result
                       of accident or photographic memory.”

                   5. Her writings contain confusing and contradictory statements (from www.nonsda.org)
For example in answering the question: “ Did Judas have a conviction to confess his sin?”
EGW: 1898 YES "When the Savior’s hands were bathing those soiled feet, and wiping them with
the towel, the heart of Judas thrilled through and through with the impulse then and there to
confess his sin." (The Desire of Ages, p. 645).
EGW: 1902 NO "As Christ celebrated this ordinance with His disciples, conviction came to the
hearts of all save Judas." (Evangelism, p. 275).

Note: Mrs. White said yes in 1898 and God and Ellen changed their minds in 1902 and said no.
This kind of inspiration is very hard to keep up with. I am thankful that the prophets of the Bible
                       did not have this problem.

Another Example: “Must I be perfect before Christ will accept me?”
EGW: YES "From what was shown me, there is a great work to be accomplished for you before
you can be accepted in the sight of God" (Testimonies, vol. 2, p. 84).
EGW: YES "You have a great work to do. ... It is impossible for you to be saved as you are"
                       (Testimonies, vol. 2, p. 316).
EGW: YES "As you are, you would mar all heaven. You are uncultivated, unrefined, and
unsanctified. There is no place in heaven for such a character as you now possess. ... You are
further today from the standard of Christian perfection ... than you were a few months after you
had received the truth" (Testimonies, vol. 3, p. 465).

BIBLE: NO Eph. 2:4 - 5 (NIV) 4But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy,
5made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have
                       been saved.

Did Ellen G. White claim infallibility for the Testimonies? Yes.

"Yet, now when I send you a testimony of warning and reproof, many of you declare it to be merely the
opinion of Sister White. You thereby insulted the Spirit of God." Testimonies 5, p. 64.
