Study Section 9: Alpha and Omega
1.1 Connect.
As you have sharing with your JW friend, we now come to some very POWERFUL arguments
that will have a STRONG impact in your witness. You are going to learn to systematically take
your friend through four sections of Scripture where he/she cannot refute the fact that Jesus is
God. This will be the turning point of your witness. So get excited, because we are now going to
equip you with a sword of offense.
1.2 Objectives:
1. The student should be able to explain why God commanded all the angels in heaven to worship
Jesus. You must then connect this verse with one you have already memorized, Isaiah 42:8.
2. The student should be able to take a journey through the book of Revelation looking for the
references that talk about the Alpha and Omega. You must mark in your Bible the path through
Revelation.
3. Having taken your JW friend through who is Alpha and Omega, you will make a strong conclusion that
Jesus is Alpha and Omega, Lord God.
4. The student should be able to discuss what the ONENESS of God is.

numerous places in Scripture of worshipping the Father. It literally means to bow down, to prostrate
oneself before, kiss the hand in token of reverence, profoundly reverent, to do homage to express
respect, to make supplication. It is used over 60 times in the NT and in every case, it means to “worship
as God” or “bow down before” in reverence. In the book of Revelations, it is used 22 times. In every
case it refers to the people or angels falling down and worshipping God or people worshipping the
Antichrist as God.
It is very important to remember that the purpose of the Hebrews, especially chapter
one, is to demonstrate the superiority of Jesus Christ – superior to the prophets, to the
