8.5 Let’s Personalize this Lesson…
Activity: Muslims know very little about Jesus, and most of what they have heard about Him is not
accurate. While they hold Jesus up as a great prophet and highly respect Him, they do not recognize
Him as God’s Son or that He actually died on the cross for the sins of mankind.
Discussions about Jesus are an excellent way to open up a witness with a Muslim or those of any other
faith. After all, the Qur’an mentions him 25 times, so he must be significant! What you can do is encourage a
Muslim to read the Gospels to find out more about Him. Many are inquisitive and as they read the Bible, they will
find significant differences between what they have been taught and what is presented in the Gospels. Both cannot
be true. It opens their heart to consider which may be accurate. Pray about being able, after they read God’s Word
that you can share more about Jesus and clarify why He came and who He is in discussion with them.
