P. 27

Let’s turn our concentration on those prophecies that will lead us to the conclusion of man’s life on
earth; to “end time” prophecies. We now begin our study of Eschatology.

               3.4 Let’s Practice…

1-5 List five prophecies that were fulfilled about Israel as she relates to the Messiah:

6-10. List five prophecies in the Bible that have NOT been fulfilled.

                         11. Explain how the Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem was a fulfillment of prophecy.

               12. Explain some evidence for the selection of Wednesday over Friday as the probable day Jesus was
               crucified:

13-15. List the three major interpretations that are proposed concerning the second coming of Christ:

               3.5 Let’s Personalize this Lesson…

                                                                                           th
Activity: Did you know that Jesus was probably not born on December 25 ? In fact, there is
some good evidence that He was born in March. Do some research on the internet and see if
you can come up with an accurate date of His birth. HINT: Start with the announcement of
the birth of John. When was Zecharias ministering in the temple? If Elizabeth got pregnant
soon after that announcement, and Mary visited her in her sixth month, and Mary was newly
pregnant at the time of her visit to Elizabeth’s house, then you should be able to trace a time in the year
that Jesus was born. HINT 2: It takes 9 months after conception to have a baby. Compare your results
to the time of His triumphal entry into Jerusalem.
