Delays in Prayer Because of Warfare
Daniel 10:12-13 records an interesting story about Daniel giving himself to prayer. It says, then he said,
“Don’t be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself
before your God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come in answer to your prayer. But for
twenty-one days the spirit princeof the kingdom of Persia blocked my way. Then Michael, one of the
archangels, came to help me, and I left him there with the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia”. It
appears from this passage that from the very first day that Daniel prayed his pray was answered but it
took twenty-one days for the answer to arrive because of spiritual warfare. There is nothing that
indicates that this was a onetime happening but a reality in spiritual warfare. I do not know all there is to
understand regarding delays in spiritual warfare, but I must teach it as a Biblical truth.
