21. How will we deal with family members?

               Relatives & Friends:
                   1.  Describe a situation where you were hurt by someone else.
                   2.  Do you think married couples should take advice from their in-laws?
                   3.  Have you noticed signs of difficulty with your future in-laws?
                   4.  Describe your relationship to a relative to whom you feel close.
                   5.  Describe your relationship to siblings.
                   6.  What conflicts do you have with siblings and how do you resolve the conflict?
                   7.  Discuss a situation in which you think you have been misunderstood by another person.

               Finances:
                   1.  What is your current or anticipated income?
                   2.  What debts does each of you have?
                   3.  What are your assets?
                   4.  What finances will be required for future educational plans?
                   5.  What are your plans for giving?
                   6.  What are your plans for saving money?
                   7.  Should the wife work outside the home?
                   8.  Should the husband hold extra part time jobs?
                   9.  Discuss the financial aspect of entertainment and having guests in the home.
                   10. What insurance do you and should you have?
                   11. Discuss contentment in living within one’s income.
                   12. Should you accept finances from in-laws?
                   13. Should each of you have a separate bank account?
                   14. Who should handle the finances?
                   15. Discuss how you view finances.  Does one of you have a tight reign?
                   16. Is one of you more of a spender and who is the saver?
                   17. Do you believe anyone should help you financially?
                   18. Are you going to pool all your resources?
                   19. How generous are you?
                   20. What is your plan for budgeting?
                   21. What is your attitude about debt?
                   22. Are either of you tempted to gamble?
                   23. Where will you live?  (House/apartment/geography)

               Children:
                   1.  How many children do you want to have?
                   2.  Should a couple wait until they can “afford” children?
                   3.  How close in age should the children be?
                   4.  What if you have all girls – or all boys?
                   5.  What if you have no children at all?
                   6.  What attitude would you take toward an abnormal child?
                   7.  Should both parents work after children come?
                   8.  How should your children be disciplined?
                   9.  Who is responsible for the discipline?
                   10. Should the wife wait until the father comes home so he can discipline on certain issues?
                   11. For what kinds of things should the wife be required to discipline the children?
                   12. What form of punishment would you use?
                   13. What form of positive reinforcement would you use to encourage your child?
