7. Why is sexual intimacy important to a marital relationship?

If you are single, what are you doing to guard your sexual purity and reserve sex for marriage
when you will be able to give the uncompromised gift to your mate? As you honestly analyze
your views of sex, what areas need to be brought into alignment with God’s Word?
In what areas do you need to grow in order to prepare yourself to be the best marital mate you
can possibly be?
If you are married, honestly evaluate your sexual relationship with your mate. Have a verbal discussion
about this area of your marriage. Ask each other, “What can I do to be a better sexual partner, to fulfill you
more, in this important area of our marriage?”, and then close your mouth so that you do not become
defensive as you intently listen to what your mate communicates. Then, make the necessary adjustments.
Work together to improve this area of your relationship. Make it a priority.
