11. Write out a short paragraph which is the answer to your original topical question. My original
question was, “What pattern has God laid down for me to give in the Bible. I have come to the
conclusion that God does not want us to give patterned by the Mosaic Law.

I did, however, discover that God has laid down a pattern for my giving. I suppose you could call it
“grace giving.” It seems to be loftier than the giving requirements under the Law. Simply put, it is “give
as a reflection of your love for your Savior.” No certain amount. No regulations or rules. Just give all
you can. Give to the church. Give to those in need. Just give. And as a result, you will be blessed
beyond measure, and God will give back to you in return.

               12. Evaluate the results of your study. I could not be more thrilled! I feel that I was released from the
weight of the law to a new freedom to be able to give with a truly cheerful attitude. I discovered that
attached to every gift I give comes a multitude of blessings.

               13. Save your lesson for future presentations. I certainly plan to keep this study and expand on it in
               the future.

               15.4 Let’s Practice…

                        1. What is the definition of a topical study?
                        2. After selecting a topic and related words, what is the next step in creating your study?
                        3. What should you do if you find that there are hundreds, even thousands of verses about
                        your topic?
               4. What is the most important part about looking up and reading the verses on your topic?

               5. What is our rule about building a doctrine on what a person historically did in the Bible?
               6. Why is it important to understand the background information from the book in which you take your
               verses for your topical study?

               7. At the beginning of your topical, you wrote out a question about the topic. At the conclusion of your
               study, what should you do?

               15.5 Let’s Personalize this Lesson…

Activity: What did you think of the example study? It was a bit long, as some topical
studies are. But the conclusion to your study may fly in the face of what others may be
preaching. That’s OK. We need to find out what GOD says, no what others think. So give it
a try and pick a topic you would like to know about. Follow carefully the step by step plan
suggested. You will enjoy the results and others will be edified!
