Two Employees Reach 50 Years of Service
Recently we had not one, but two employees reach their 50
years of service milestones at Viterra.
Cam Prokopiw, currently a Facility Assistant II at our Fairlight,
SK facility, joined the company on October 11, 1972, as a
Helper at what was then our Glenside facility. Over the years,
he worked as several elevators in our network including
Dinsmore, Donovan, Loreburn, Wapella among many others.
For the last 25 years, he’s worked at Fairlight in various role
including Customer Service Representative and Processor. He
became an FA II in 2008 and has been in that role since then.
Tom Gillis, currently Janitor at our Pacific port terminal,
started working at Viterra on September 15, 1972 as a
Distributor, and since then has assumed several other roles at
the facility including Weighman, Trackshed Chargehand, and
House Inspector. He’s worked for eight Terminal Managers
over the course of his career at Pacific Terminal, and says that
the facility has been a great place to work and that the people Pictured: Cam Prokopiw
he works with motivate him to come to work every day.
Achieving 50 years of service is a rare accomplishment
– congratulations to Cam and Tom. Your dedication and
commitment are truly appreciated and something to be very
proud of!
