VITERRA SPONSORS PROVINCIAL 4-H
Viterra recently supported the 2022 Provincial 4-H
Judging Competition. These competitions provide 4-H
members an opportunity to participate in grain and
livestock judging competitions similar to those held
by clubs and associations across the province. As a
key component of the 4-H program, judging combines
aspects of all four 4-H Leadership Development
Pillars to build critical thinking and communication
skills within participants. Presenters were Michael
Gane in Saskatoon and Brad Lindahl in Whitewood. A Provincial 4-H Judging Competitor presents to a Class Judge,
Jeff Danielson and Megan Hale were instrumental in while other competitors prepare.
putting the judging kits together for all 6 regional and
provincial events. The Viterra Judging Kits were sent to
our six Regional 4-H Judging hosts.
CHF RADIOTHON
On November 8 & 9, 2022, Viterra participated in the Jim Pattison
Children’s Hospital Radiothon as a Miracle Story Sponsor for
Charlie, who was just 7 years old when he was critically injured in a
quad rollover.
14 year old Charlie has always been happy and outgoing, and has
been known to be quite the jokester. In what seemed to be just a
matter of days, the lively teenager quickly found herself lacking the
energy to get off the couch or walk without fainting.
Charlie was brought to Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital where tests
revelead a nearly non-existent white blood cell count. Diagnosed
with b-cell acute lymphocytic leukemia, more commonly known
as ALL, Charlie was admitted for a month-long stay at JPCH.
Throughout her journey, Charlie has had 10 surgeries, spent over
six months at JPCH, encountered unending complications, had
multiple rounds of chemotherapy, and so much more.
Support during this year’s Radiothon helped kids like Charlie
receive the best care possible, right here at home!
