WOMAN 2: Ha! Are you kidding? I like a real man, one who—

WOMAN 1: Break it up, girls! Now, act like ladies, if you can. This is
a social event, no matter what else it may be.

(WOMEN arrange themselves and enter cave)

HALFWIT 1: So they were talking about us!

HALFWIT 2: They were nice enough not to cuss.

HALFWIT 3: Why do women make such a fuss?

HALFWIT 1: But I did hear something quite new.

HALFWIT 2: I wish I heard as well as you.

HALFWIT 3: Why can’t we fathom what to do?

HALFWIT 1: The word was participation.

HALFWIT 2: That caused the agglomeration.

HALFWIT 3: Why was there an invitation?

HALFWIT 1: We have a decision to make!

HALFWIT 2: An opportunity to take.

HALFWIT 3: Why don’t I know if I’m awake?

HALFWIT 1: But even more people are here.

HALFWIT 2: It’s a big meeting-- that’s quite clear!

HALFWIT 3: Why are we hiding in the rear?

(RIVALS enter left)

RIVAL 2: But why did he drag us all the way up here? He isn’t going
to start a fight with us, is he, boss?

RIVAL 1: Nah, this isn’t an ambush. I know this old cave. There’s no
place to spring a trap inside it. And he wouldn’t have brought the
