The Big Idea – Act 1
Listening to his babble
May drive her to distraction,
And great quantities of talk
May not result in action.
His mood will raise and lower
With each new complication;
So, predicting what he’ll do
Is not for divination.
Instead, the woman knowing
(Her intuition unblocked)
What course she wants him to take,
She guides him until he’s docked.
The technique involved is this:
Present your plans as his own;
Sooner or later he’ll think
They sprang from his mind full-blown.
WOMAN 2: So. Now we know how to deal with the thinker and the
doer. But what about these odd-balls we have in abundance?
WOMAN 1:
At last, we come to study
These intermediate forms:
Men who do not really fit
Either of the other norms.
They have the power of thought
But use it without thinking;
They’ll tell you why they’re thirsty,
But not know what they’re drinking.
Often their minds will wander,
Or sink back into a dream;
Then they will not hear a word--
No matter how loud you scream!
