Hoping to attract
You to this meeting— HALFWIT 3: Ah, the truth at last!

And you have come at
High velocity! HALFWIT 1: Yes, we do move fast.

So I beg you all
To enter the cave, HALFWIT 2: But it’s dark in there.

Listen to what’s said
And give it some thought; HALFWIT 3: And a lot of care!

Then I’ll ask you to
Be careful and brave, HALFWIT 1: Doesn’t sound like fun—

And express yourselves
As you feel you ought. HALFWIT 2: Either fight or run!

Don’t think you’ll have to
Make a concession: HALFWIT 3: Oh, no way.

That would put you in
A deep depression! HALFWIT 1: You don’t say!

I do want to make
A good impression, HALFWIT 2: It’s your day:

So you’ll be with me
After this session! HALFWIT 3: Well, okay.

UTOPIAN: Now, I’ll go into the cave first and prepare it for the
meeting. Should there be any small insect nests or large animal
droppings, that would put people off. So, just wait a little bit longer,
then come right in. (exits into cave)

HALFWIT 1:
Well, we’ve gotten our instructions; now we must act.
The reason for this meeting should be plain to all
Who have eyes to see it, or ears to catch the sound—
So why are we still puzzled, still playing with words?
