Fraxinella
As she grew up, Fraxinella discovered many disturbing things
about herself. She was much shorter than the rosebushes, her stalks
were slender and thornless, and her small flowers were white and
lavender. This led the roses, who snobbishly thought themselves the
standard of beauty, to look down their noses at Fraxinella and to say
rude things to her and about her. Her childhood was very unhappy.
