Fraxinella

And then one early spring day, when it was unseasonably hot and
Fraxinella was feeling very upset about her inferiority, she suddenly
burst into flames. Or, rather, her strange vapor ignited briefly, all by
itself, and for a few seconds she glowed like a candle. She was very
surprised, but unharmed. Fraxinella, although she did not know it,
was a gas plant. A storm had deposited her far from the other seeds
of her own kind, and she had taken root among strangers. She was an
        orphan.
