Odd cubes and tubes up to the ceiling tiered;
Video screens pivoted in tandem
With their owners’ movements—not at random,
Twelve TV shows on each of those panels:
I never knew there were so many channels!
The combined audio made a background hum—
Could they pick one signal out from the sum?
