The Old Observatory
I dared not move a muscle or make a sound
For fear they’d find me hanging around—
And then what would my paltry life be worth?
Undoubtedly nobody else on earth
Yet knew this old and long-forgotten place
Harbored two visitors from outer space:
I had stumbled on aliens hidden
In a place to the public forbidden.
