How the Cats Took Care of Complaints

         “Thank  you  very  much,  Mr.  Bertrand,”  said  Fiedler,  taking  the
       papers.  He  looked  at  them  briefly,  smiled,  and  said,  “Meerr-owr-
       reeow.”
         Sharlena  yawned  and  stretched  sensuously.  With  one  lithe
       movement she was on the floor, crossing the tattered  carpet to the
       door  of  the  study.  On  the  threshold  she  paused,  turned  her  head
       toward Bertrand, and uttered a small purring cry. He looked around
       for his briefcase, found it and stood up.
         “Well, Mr. Fiedler,” he said, “thank you so much for straightening
       everything  out.  I’ve  really  enjoyed  this  visit.  Now  it’s  time  that
       Sharlena and I were leaving.”
