Fighter Unacknowledged soldier; formerly guerilla.

           Forever A subtle shift from literal temporal interminability and
           figurative dramatic emphasis of excessive duration to absurd
           hyperboles of the permanence of the impermanent and dramatic
           emphasis of ineradicable and profound personal change.

           Gallerist Formerly “art dealer”; see curate.

           Gaming Synonym via euphemism for gambling; formerly
           implied dishonest manipulation via the sense of hunting and the
           homonym meaning crippling.

           Grow a business Formerly “build”, and business is what grew;
           nature is not a salesperson.

           Guys Males or females from infancy to senescence; formerly
           “folks” for a mixed group. See Mom and Dad—they may end
           up guys, too.

           Hack Improvise or reassemble materials for a different purpose;
           the prior meaning of fatal disassembly by violence is fading fast.

           Hero Formerly applied only to those preventing harm to others
           despite risk of harm to themselves; now also to anyone surviving
           any harm without too much complaint or finger-pointing.

           Hi Salutation, replacing “Dear X” and “To whom it may
           concern” in formal communications; source is the informal
           message-texting “hi” used by teenagers.

           Hopefully A depersonalized divine entreaty replacing “I hope”.

           Iconic The manipulable quality of an abstract referent easily
           mistaken for its symbol and aggrandized thereby; a similar
                                  th
           circular process in the 20 century befell “celebrity”.

           Identity Self-definition via denial of undesired ascriptive qualities
           and acceptance of new group identification.

           In/out of harm’s way Higher or lower chance of being killed.

           Issues  Difficulties—interpersonal,  intellectual  or  emotional;
                          th
           actually a late 20 century usage but increasingly self-justificatory.
