Page 29 - Tomcats in Paradise
P. 29

Once into the underbrush, Levi Katz felt his old feral self
reasserting. His senses became keen, alert to any sight or sound or
smell which might betray the presence of a small rodent or bird. Like
a panther he crept carefully across dead leaves and around fallen
branches, flattening his profile to avoid detection.
