Unseen by Billy Bob Cat, Levi Katz had been squatting
comfortably inside the open freight car. Concealed by shadow, he
watched his fellow feline’s movements.
“I’m not going over there until he gives away the game,” muttered
the dusky tomcat. “Too dangerous. Don’t know that street. Dogs.
People. Let him do the tracking and take the risks—ah, there he
goes!”
Levi jumped down and raced across the street, causing the driver of
a large truck to swerve, slam on the brakes, and honk his horn. Levi
Katz was undeterred; he had to hurry, because Billy Bob was doing a
very good job of keeping out of sight.
