DAY 2: THE GOD OF THE ANGEL ARMIES
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but
against principalities, against powers, against the rulers
of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of
wickedness in the heavenly places.”
Ephesians 6:12
This is a battle - a fight to the finish. The Message version
of Ephesians 6:12 says, “a life-or-death fight to the finish
against the Devil and all his angels”.
Wearing the full armour of God, I could see myself ready to
fight the battle, not on my own strength. The God of the
Angel Armies is ahead of me. He had already won the battle
when He died on the cross, rose from the dead, and was
seated at the Father's right hand. Around me are other
soldiers of God geared up, praying for me and with me to
win this war.
Cancer is a battle. Any sickness is a battle. The battle is not
only physical but also financial, emotional, and spiritual
battle. This is not only a struggle against flesh and blood but
a war against the spiritual forces of wickedness whose goal
is to steal, kill and destroy God’s people. Winning this battle
means fighting the good fight of faith – believing in God’s
absolute goodness, infinite wisdom and unfailing love.
