DAY 18: THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH

“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time
are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall
be revealed in us.”
Romans 8:18

The splash of the water at Vero Beach, Florida, was so
refreshing that we could not help but continue walking on
the beach farther away from the shore. But when the big
wave came, Elaine, Aileen, and I tumbled. We could not
stand up. The waves continued to pull us into the deep! God
provided a Good Samaritan to help us stand and return to
shore. We had a good laugh. It was fun and a happy
memory!

In September 2018, my daughter Angela, my friend Aileen,
and I visited our family friend Elaine Jackson in Florida,
USA. She was my daughter’s Godmother. It has been a long
time since we have not seen her. Elaine became our tour
guide, driving us around despite suffering from a hip
problem, which made it very difficult for her to move and
walk. We went to Disney World, the beach, and other places.
I brought our old pictures and videos to reminisce about the
past. She was so happy to see them and watch the ‘good old
times’ videos.

She laughed when she saw the picture of the newborn baby
Angela. She recalled what happened in the delivery room.
She did not have children of her own, so it was fascinating
for her to be there with my husband. After I gave birth, the
