THE PROSPEROUS WAY

          From our exploration of the Scriptures then, it would seem that favour
          with God and man is not a matter of chance or luck, available to only a
          fortunate few. Rather, it is a matter of conduct and character as we
          follow the practical truths of the Bible on how to gain the favour of
          those around us. It comes as a blessing from the Lord as we walk in ways
          that are pleasing in His sight. Ultimately, however, favour comes,
          unmerited and unearned, as a result of God’s own grace.

                       “May the favour of the Lord rest upon us;
                       establish the work of our hands for us—
                        yes, establish the work of our hands.”
                                    (Psalm 90:17)

               “For by their own sword they did not possess the land,
                        And their own arm did not save them,
                         But Your right hand and Your arm
              and the light of Your presence, For You favoured them.”
                                (Psalm 44:3 (NASB))
