Monetizing Your Data

Past addresses, phone numbers, school records,
transcripts, work records, certifications, and criminal
histories are all examples of personal history. Not to
mention your own personal history of buying and selling.

There is health information, such as your recent medical
history, doctor’s reports, lab results, and medications
you’ve been taking (if any) too.

Memberships in any type of organization or group, such
as sports clubs, retail warehouses, air mileage program,
political affiliations, and so on, can also be incorporated.
We also need to include all of the digital rights that you
manage, such as login information for websites, software
apps, or digital services like Netflix or Amazon Prime.

This list can also include ownership information, deeds,
titles, and provenance. Then there are your physical
electronic goods, which include e-mails and other text
files, photos, films, music, and other audio recordings.
Finally, you have your own digital footprints, which are
basically a record of everything you’ve ever done online.

HOW TO BEGIN THE PROCESS OF SELLING
            YOUR INFORMATION

One method for monetizing your data is to sell it directly
to another company or to participate in a data exchange.
You can sell your data as a commodity or the knowledge
            that you gained from it.
