INTRODUCTION
devotional commentary on the Song of Songs as I fellowshipped with
Him. Studying Song of Songs with the Holy Spirit as my primary
teacher has changed my life, and I am sure that if you give God the
time, He will do the same for you.
I grew up not knowing what true love is and found it during the most
bittersweet, challenging, and painful three years of my life, as the Lord
asked me to put my marriage on the altar. (If you would like to hear my
testimony, go online to YouTube — Linda Robinson testimony parts 1,
2, and 3). During those three years of separation from my husband (we
are now back together, and our marriage has been restored), Jesus
became my Bridegroom King, and He revealed His nature and love in
ways that surpassed my wildest imagination. Jesus showed me what is
meant by covenantal love. He did this by asking me to continue loving
and remaining loyal to my husband, despite his not loving me in return
at that time. The depth of God’s unconditional love literally blasted all
my previous perceptions and experiences of His love out of the water.
He broke me completely, and I will be forever grateful for this time of
intimacy we shared. As I continue my walk with Jesus, His love
continues to grow within me, and with it, my sense of awe and
reverence for God. Having discovered this treasure, it is my heartfelt
passion to share the revelation I received from the Song of Songs and
encourage others to dare to join me on the journey, discovering the
uniqueness of Christ’s love for His Bride.
