SESSION 15 : Song of Songs Chapter 6:8-12

“But the lovers of God walk on the highway of light, and their way

shines brighter and brighter until they bring forth the perfect day.”

Notice how in this verse it doesn’t say workers of God but lovers of

God! To bring forth the perfect day is to be so full of the light of Christ
that we become an embodiment of Him to the world around us.

The latter part of verse 10 re-emphasises her position of victory in

Jesus. She no longer looks at life from a temporal perspective but from
above, where she is seated in Christ at the right hand of the Father. Her

daily song was a song of victory that stretched into eternity. Her future,
like the radiant Bride from Proverbs 31:25 (TPT):

“Bold power and glorious majesty are wrapped around her, as she
laughs with joy over the latter days.”

This is the life we can enjoy with Jesus—an abundant, radiant, and

victorious life, despite what our circumstances may try to dictate to us.
          Hallelujah!

During my study of verse 11, I was led to the NIV translation, which

says that the Shulamite “went down to the grove of nut trees, to look at
the new growth in the valley, to see if the vines had budded or the

          pomegranates were in bloom.”

As I sat quietly in the Presence, I received a revelation that brought me

back to the first words I believe God spoke as I undertook His
command to write this teaching. The nuance of what I sensed He was

          saying is this:

                                           254
