SESSION 15 : Song of Songs Chapter 6:8-12
the situation and the enormity of the task—but He shows her where she
is positioned in the spirit.
She is not alone, but sitting with Him in His royal chariot, riding
together wherever the Holy Spirit takes them.
The King James Version clarifies verse 12 even further through the
usage of the word Amminadib. It reads:
“Or ever I was aware, my soul made me like the chariots of
Amminadib” (which means my people of a willing heart).
Notice how reference is made to there being more than one chariot—
there are chariots. And what’s more, they contain other like-minded
believers.
Like the Shulamite, they too live from a heaven-to-earth perspective,
possessing willing hearts that have allowed the Holy Spirit to work in
them the grace of Christ—so that they no longer live for themselves,
but live yielded and willing to be lights for Him in this perverse and
crooked generation. They are willing, consecrated vehicles for God to
move throughout the earth.
Before I conclude this session, I wish to bring to your notice three
important lessons that really stood out whilst I studied verse 11.
I believe they could be of great encouragement to some brothers and
sisters at this time. I will deal with each one separately in the Points for
Discussion and Reflection session. They are:
