RADICAL LOVE
“These nuts are representative of my lost children, who during their
lives have been ravaged by the devourer to such an extent that they
have experienced the lowest forms of depravity, lies, abuse, and terror
that only I can redeem and set them free from.”
Notice where these “nuts” are. My nut groves are down in the darkest
valleys—valleys of hopelessness, despair, war, sexual abuse, drug
abuse, addictions, poverty, and shame.
Notice also that this is not just an orchard of nuts but groves of them.
Yes! There are many of them. Yet, it is My desire and My plan to take
My beautiful, light-filled Bride—who is fearless, lovely,
compassionate, and captivating—into these valleys, in order to bring
this precious harvest into My storehouse.
The weapons for this assignment will be the fruit of the Holy Spirit and
My great grace and power.
This is where the Shulamite now finds herself in verse 11. She has gone
down to the nut groves to see if any new life is coming forth. She wants
to see if the salvation of God—the first budding of the new things
declared by God—is springing forth.
Verse 12 is a picture of intercession for these yet-to-be Brides of Christ.
She is experiencing such compassion for these loved ones and is totally
lost in a spirit of prayer and travail. It might be that, for a fleeting
moment, she is feeling overwhelmed by the seeming impossibility of
