for  sure.  I  was  overjoyed.  I  always  wanted  to  be  a
          teacher and a writer of short stories. And I love the short

          stories in the Bible.

          Here is an example of one of them.


          John 8: 3–11 (paraphrase)


          Jesus the Light of the World



          They  dragged  her—kicking  and  screaming,  half-
          naked—down  the  street  where  Jesus  was  teaching  a

          crowd of people in the square. This woman, they said,

          was caught in the act of adultery. With stones in hand,
          they demanded that she be stoned to death, according to

          Moses’ law.

          Jesus stooped down, wrote on the ground, then stood up

          and said, "He who is without sin among you, let him
          throw a stone at her first." (v7, NKJV). With that said,

          they all dropped their stones and left.


          Jesus then said to the woman, "Where are your accusers
          now? Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one,
