It's Not Your Days

From the perspective of mothers and grandmothers, I

can say with certainty that they are among the most
influential people on the planet—not to take away from

teachers, pastors, and scholars, but there is something
uniquely powerful in the role of a mother and

          grandmother.

Proverbs 22:6 reminds us that children should be

trained up in the Word of God, and if they hold fast to

His teachings, they will not depart from them as they
grow older. Because of this, we must be mindful of our

words, guiding them with wisdom and care—respecting
their young minds rather than taking them for granted.

With the spiritual gifts we’ve been given, we must do
our best to apply the truth of God and raise them in

godly principles, such as those found in Proverbs 3:5-
6, a truth that remains unwavering. But the world is

selfish, waiting to distract our children when the real

tests of life begin. Often, this happens when they attend
          college.
