We warn them about pitfalls and share the mistakes we
made in our own early years. We hope to guide them
toward new paths, and when possible, we gently place
our hands on their shoulders, leading them to walk in
the right way. As Isaiah 30:21 reminds us, there is
always a right path to follow.
Yet, when we remind them that things were different in
our day, a six-year-old may turn to us with a big smile
and say, "Well, Grandma, this is no longer your day—
times are different now."
And so, we send them to Proverbs 4—an entire chapter
rich with wisdom, guiding them toward truth when life’s
questions pile up.
Grounded in God's Promise
When uncertainty arises, we can return to the timeless
wisdom of Proverbs 3:5-6, reminding us of who God is
and whose we are. By His grace alone, we will
overcome.
