God promises us in Psalm 37:25 that our children will
never lack, nor will we be forsaken. Even when we feel

we have done all we can, and our children still stray in

their own ways, there is more we can do—we can pray.

Pray to the One who made these promises:

"Be still and know that I am God." — Psalm 46:10

          (KJV)

"Cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you." —

          1 Peter 5:7 (KJV)

          A Prayer for Strength

Heavenly Father, thank You for understanding what it

is like to raise stubborn children—for I, too, was once

one of them. Yet, in Your great mercy, You patiently
waited for me and, when the time was right, drew me to

          Yourself.

Lord, grant us Your kind of love, patience to wait on

You, and wisdom to do what is right before You—for
the benefit of our children. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
