Training aim

To give students the opportunity to carry out routine inspections of the
appliance using the daily check sheets.

CONTENT TO COVER

Recap

Recap main points from previous session.

Daily checks

Give each student a copy of the daily check sheet.

Cover the following:

• driver checks: fuel, oil, water levels, appliance lights, emergency
response lighting, distance licence etc.

• equipment checks: All equipment present and stowed correctly.

• BA cylinder bulk air supply contents and airline connections (when
fitted).

• visual inspection appliance and aerial components – hydraulic
fluid leaks, oil/water leaks, security of fittings, pipe work,
cables and catches, creeping jacks

• defects and faults: record and report following normal station
processes.
