• the requirements when siting appliance on a gradient
• obstructions to be considered when siting the appliance
• positioning considerations when siting the appliance
• maximum wind speed allowed for safe operation of the appliance.

Siting responsibilities
Cover the following:
• The Incident Controller (IC) will have the responsibility as to when
and where an aerial will be used.
• The OIC of the aerial has the responsibility to sight the aerial within
its operating range for the objectives given.
