Ms. Virginia Easley says that MyRide has been a God send to both her and her family! “All of the MyRide volunteers are just ‘so nice and helpful’: this program has been such a blessing.” Without MyRide Henderson County, she does not know what she would do.
Ms. Virginia is so happy that she is now more independent. She didn’t like to ask her family “all of the time” to take her to the doctor; they all work and she doesn’t own a car.
“I was in a pickle,” she said. “I needed to make these doctor’s appointments, but would not go because I did not want to be a burden on my family.”
Since February 2019, Ms. Virginia has already taken 11 MyRides: to the heart, foot and eye doctors; dentist, grocery store, bank, and beauty shop. Recently she was interviewed by the local radio station about her MyRide experiences. She is an advocate for the MyRide program – whether it be at her church or at Hope Ministries, where she volunteers.
