see far from themselves, they only compare their value to what
they comprehend at any moment. If they only can comprehend
five things at once, then their artificially inflated value would
make them feel extremely comfortable.
There were, however, some who could accept this concept and
would counter with "so what?" When faced with this brilliant
counter the Drunk Monk would suggest that they do the
exercise one more time. This time, however, assign yourself a
value of zero. Then assign everything else in the universe a
value of zero. Suddenly, you are as valuable as the rest of the
entire universe added together!! Hence the concept of to
become everything first you must become nothing. Think of
the ramifications. It is true! We are as valuable as anything
else and indeed, everything else, in the universe. That and
twelve pendacts will buy you a cup of coffee.
The sacred poetry of the BeerQuest Bible put it into verse:
when one is none when one is all
when big is small equals the sum and we are part
and small is big of kingdom come then in our heart
