grabbed Linda, Trash and Steve by the arms and stood beside
them awaiting the butler's next commands. He walked over to
Nanosh and spoke rather meekly, most likely asking her for a
status report. She smiled brightly and spoke softly. Steve

inferred by her gestures that she was explaining how he had
come into possession of some object which he and Trash felt
was extremely dangerous and that they did not currently have
it in their possession. She was attempting to join their party for
the remainder of the trip to be there when they obtained the
object and intercept it.

"It's too late for that now. The American Secret Service will be
here in a few minutes. We need to make our play now." He

said in English. Then he walked over to Steve. "What is the
nature of this object you found? Where did you get it and
where is it now?"

Steve looked at Trash. The Butler took this to mean that he
should be asking Trash these questions, so he walked over and
stood in front of him.

"The nature of the object is indeterminate. It came from a
government facility in Virginia. It was inadvertently stolen by a
friend of ours. We took it from him and headed for
Washington, D. C. with the intent of getting assistance in
destroying it. In the meantime we had a bit of an accident with
Mrs. Jenkins here." He nodded towards the old lady standing at
attention in the background. She did not smile.
