sleep & rest
lavender or lavender peace®/serenity®
Getting a good night’s sleep can sometimes be a challenge. If constant thoughts are
keeping you awake at night or you are having difficulty calming a restless child for
bedtime, apply doTERRA Lavender or Lavender Peace® (Serenity®) to the bottoms of
your or your child’s feet to help wind down before going to sleep and to promote
relaxation.
doTERRA Serenity® can also be diffused to encourage a restful sleeping environment.

and L-Theanine along with lemon balm, passionflower, and chamomile to gently promote
relaxation and sleep.* These are currently only available to purchase through the US

vetiver
When experiencing anxious, unnerved, or stressed feelings, use Vetiver oil aromatically or
topically. Vetiver essential oil is rich in sesquiterpenes, which contain grounding
properties. When used on the skin or inhaled, Vetiver essential oil can help provide a
calming and grounding effect on emotions. Sleep is extremely important for the health
of both the mind and body. When individuals do not receive adequate hours of sleep or
have too many sleepless nights, body functions begin to slow down. To help promote a
restful night’s sleep, rub Vetiver oil on the bottom of your feet.
petitgrain
Don't fancy the smell of Lavender? Did you know that Petitgrain has a similar chemical
makeup as Lavender. Perhaps one of the greatest benefits of Petitgrain oil is its ability to
promote relaxing feelings. Consider placing a few drops of Petitgrain on your pillows and
bedding before going to bed in order to enjoy its aromatic benefits. You can also combine
other relaxing oils like Lavender or Bergamot with Petitgrain on the bedding or in a
diffuser to promote a more relaxing atmosphere.
cedarwood
Because it is a grounding oil that can promote emotional balance, Cedar oil is a good
essential oil to diffuse at the end of a long day when you want to create a relaxing
environment. Cedarwood oil holds calming and grounding properties for both the mind
and body, making it a popular oil for topical as well as aromatic use. When diffusing Cedar
oil, use three to four drops in the essential oil diffuser of your choice and enjoy the
grounding, calming effects that this oil has to offer.
