What should we learn from both of them?

Professor Shi-ao Jin from Wuhan Tongji Hospital and Professor Jun-jie Liu from Wuhan
Union Hospital have broad knowledge and, devote themselves to academic and research, and
dedicate to education. Professor Shi-ao Jin and professor Jun-jie Liu studied under Professor Jue
Wu, a renowned professor at Zhongshan Hospital in Shanghai, and was the founder of
anesthesiology in China. In the past 50 years, both of them respected each other, cooperated very
well with each other, indifferent to fame and wealth, and made a selfless and massive
contribution to the establishment and development of Anesthesiology in Hubei province and
even the whole country. Faced with honor and fame, both show mutual respect and mutual
modesty regardless of personal gain or loss. Their noble individual pursuit, graceful life attitude,
and significant pioneering contribution to the development of Anesthesiology make both models
researchers of the academic community. Professor Shi-ao Jin and Jun-jie Liu cultivated the
needed talents for their hospital. They trained and transported the qualified skills and the
brightest minds to various parts of the country. With the successful development of
anesthesiology in China, we must carry forward the fine tradition of the older generation of
anesthesiologists, study their professionalism and excellence in anesthesiology, and learn their
generous spirits and qualities. Also, we should work harder to heighten qualities and raise
professional proficiency to contribute to the development of anesthesiology in our country in the
future.
