My job, as Senior VP of Sales and Service, six months after the psychic reading:
Build the sales department, develop customer service capability and set up the pick-up and delivery operations.
Definitely an exciting adventure as predicted. Pretty accurate psychic reading.
I mention this psychic reading and subsequent experience to make a point:
A psychic uses their intuition to get a picture of the future.
I had been fairly intuitive most of my life. FedEx founder Fred Smith called me the “consummate problem solver.” I could use my intuition to create, and to solve problems, but I didn’t realize that intuition could be much more than that.
Intuition can bring harmony, peace and fulfillment. I learned that much later.
Poor self-esteem rears its head again
During that ten years at FedEx, my self-esteem was attacked from nearly every perspective: From relationships to my belief that I wasn’t qualified do the job; From financial hardship to addiction. It was definitely an adventure.
In the beginning I felt inadequate for the job, but persevered holding many different senior executive positions during that ten years including building the hub, inventing the bar-code tracing system and founding the FedEx logistics division.
As a way to face my self-esteem challenges, I worked with a Jungian Analyst, Dr. Bill Walker, for most of the ten years. He helped me deal with my self-esteem issues in many ways.
He introduced me to my second psychic experience, a “trance medium.”
