It generally requires a degree of meditation experience to attain the full state of nothingness.
Once this state occurs, you will find answers bubbling up, not during the meditation, but shortly afterwards.
For this meditation, select a word that has no emotional energy for you. Something relatively neutral. My word is “peace,” but it can be any neutral word you choose.
Again, it is helpful to set a timer. I use the App mentioned above.
The key for this mediation is to think the word you selected when other thoughts drift into your mind. As you do this consistently, you will gradually find the intruding thoughts come in less and less.
I also find it personally helpful in the beginning to image a blank chalk board or white board.
Virtual Reality Meditation
Most meditations are used to quiet the mind. This mediation, developed by Magick Bernstein is designed to focus the mind on positive experiences.
Use this meditation when you are feeling good generally, however your mind is wandering. This meditation that combines closed eye, focused meditation and writing as a way to clear your mind.
