Freeze Frame Process - Back to Obstacles
HeartMath offers many processes to reduce the affects of stress physically, emotionally and mentally. I personally use this process whenever faced with stressful events. It is simple and powerful.
There are five steps to the Freeze-Frame Process:
Step 1: Acknowledge
Acknowledge the stressful feeling and FREEZE- FRAME it
Freeze-Frame is a term that used to be used in film making where the editor stops or freezes the film in order to get a detailed picture at a specific point in time. This enables a closer view of lighting and other specific conditions that are more difficult to understand when there is great movement.
Similarly, when under stress, we often react rather than take the time to consider our actions with a more relaxed and larger perspective.
If you’re able, write down the situation in as much detail as possible. Then write down your immediate reaction. How were, or are, you intending to react to this stressful situation?
