AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF A MOSQUITO

Aaah it’s raining! I better find a place to hide. That

house looks nice and there seems to be lots of humans

there. I think I hit the jackpot!

Hey there, I am Musky the Mosquito and apparently, I

wreak havoc upon humankind. But I also pollinate
plants, and humans still don’t appreciate me and my

fellow beings. I guess it’s because I bite them that they are upset with me.

I am often called a pest and other bad names by humans. But I also do good

things for the earth . They forget that I am an important part of the food

chain. I am food for fish, bats, and frogs etc .

But life has been tough for me since 2020 as the “Coronavirus” has rendered

me and my friends jobless . It has taken over the world. I have been unable

to spread malaria, dengue etc . But I need to survive and for that, I must
trouble some humans .I wish they knew that we don’t mean it and we’re do-

ing it for our survival.

By the way, we hate the monsoon season and tend to live in the homes of hu-
mans. But they think of us as a nuisance rather than a guest.

They don’t even like my singing and my sweet voice!

Growl !! Excuse me, but I am very ravenous now. It’s time for supper! I shall

go to the house I mentioned earlier and have a feast.

Good night , time for me to get to work ...!!!
