A LETTER FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Greetings Raptors,
I am delighted to welcome you to the new Rich Township High School. It is an inspiring
time in District 227, as we have united into one school comprised of two campuses:
the STEM Campus and the Fine Arts and Communications Campus. Regardless of
your campus assignment, we are a single raptor family. As raptors, we ROAR as one.
Our ROAR represents respect, optimism, accountability, and resilience. These are the
qualities that make us total raptors.
As we move forward, Rich Township High School remains focused on students and student
success even more than ever before. Our new structure allows increased opportunities
for our young adults to thrive. Additionally, we are steadfast in our commitment to the
four pillars: academic achievement, post-secondary success, school pride, and global
citizenship. Our raptors will be nationally and internationally competitive against their
peers.

We have completed the first phase of construction in our plan to design a cutting edge,
21st century learning environment. These projects included building a state-of-the-
art commercial grade kitchen for our culinary program and remodeling our basketball
arenas and other sports complexes. Soon, we will break ground on the district’s first field
house and new outdoor stadium. Our classrooms will also be modernized in the next
stage of construction. These upgrades will make our facilities among the finest in the
South suburbs.

I am honored to serve this community as the principal of Rich Township High School,
and I look forward to collaborating with all of you to continue improving our school. We
truly are stronger together.
