                      graduation requirements for the Class of 2020.

                  •  Aligning instructional practices with best practices and other national models

               District Goal & Target Alignment


                  1.  Develop a clear focus on students and on the quality of experiences and supports provided
                      to students.
                  2.  Ensure that quality teaching and learning is supported in a climate and culture of trust and
                      positive relationships.
                  3.  By 2020, greater than 84% of students will achieve expected or higher than expected growth
                      on the College Board Suite of Assessments Spring Assessment by increasing the ability of
                      students to be successful on text dependent questions.


               Duration

                  The pilot will last for one year.


               Control Group

                  Students with similar reading scores will be placed in a section of Reading I and Pre-AP World
                  History and Geography.  The number of control groups will be determined based on student
                  placement data.

               Treatment Group

                  The treatment group will have the students with the identified cut scores. The number of
                  treatment groups will be determined based on student placement data.



               Evaluation

                  1.  Students will be closely monitored and evaluated throughout the year at the following
                      intervals:
